Yerevan/Mediamax/. Pilot program for free economic zone will be launched by the end of 2010 in Armenia.

Mediamax reports that Head of Industry Department of Armenian Ministry of Economy Hayk Mirzoyan said this at a news conference in Yerevan today.

He informed that elaboration of the project business plan is in process now with Dutch “Flora Holland” Company, which is the invited consultant.

According to him, Armenian Development Agency (ADA) also participates in elaboration of the business plan and the business model for the logistics center.

Hayk Mirzoyan stated that the pilot program will consist of three parts. At the first stage, agricultural products reception points will be formed in the country’s regions, where they will receive products from farmers for the single price and will sort it.

The second stage of the program provides for sale of products to potential exporters and the third one – packing and export of agricultural products under Armenian brand in free economic zone.

Hayk Martirosyan also stated that with implementation of the free economic zone on the territory of “Zvartnots” Airport, they also expect annual export volume growth of 20%.
