Yerevan /Mediamax/. “Toyota-Yerevan” Company announced today that it will hold a preventive service campaign next week to eliminate possible shortcomings in accelerator pedal operation. The Company will touch upon the modification issue of Toyota Corolla 1.6 with robotized transmission gear, issued in the period from October, 2006, up to December, 2009, and Toyota RAV 4 2.0, produced in the period from November, 2005, to November, 2009.

“The recall of cars will be realized in accordance with lists, composed by “Toyota-Yerevan”. The process of free of charge accelerator pedal operation improvement will take 10-15 minutes”, Mediamax was informed in the Company.

“Toyota-Yerevan” Company referred to the statement of Toyota Motor Europe President Tadashi Arashima, according to which the shortcomings in accelerator pedal operation do not concern other models of Toyota and Lexus.

“We understand that this situation causes inconvenience and we are deeply sorry for this. We also want to assure our customers that a potential problem with accelerator pedal occurs given very rare circumstances. The recall of cars is a preventive measure to guarantee high standards of Toyota cars’ quality for our customers”, Tadashi Arashima’s statement reads.
