Yerevan /Mediamax/. “Araratbank” presented a new CLASSIC-M payment card by Mifare technologies.

Chairman of the Bank’s Board of Directors Ashot Osipyan stated that CLASSIC-M is a dual use card, which may be used as ArCa payment card, as well as for paying Yerevan Underground fare. In connection with this, there will be mini-branches of the bank opened in metro stations, the first of which already functions in “Yeritasardakan” station.

As the member of the Central Bank Board Vakhtang Abramyan stated, this service is meant for wide layers of the population. He noted that application of advanced technologies will allow spreading this service to other spheres as well in future.

Following the results of 2009, the number of “Araratbank” cards made 38.150, and in 2008 - 21343.
