Yerevan /Mediamax/. ArCa (Armenian Card) Company received PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) certificate.

ArCa Audit was realized by “Informzashita” [information security] Company, following the results of which “Armenian Card” was declared as completely meeting requirements of PCI Security Standards Council, established by international payment systems.

Mediamax reports that the corresponding certificate was handed over to Executive Director of “Armenian Card” CJSC Shahen Hovhannisyan by Director of “Informzashita” Audit Department Maxim Emm today. According to him, ArCa became the second company in CIS, which received PCI DSS certificate, and this fact evidences the security of ArCa cards.

Shahen Hovhannisyan informed that the certificate is issued for the term of a year, and upon completion of the term, one should carry out audit again.

According to the member of the Central Bank Board Vakhtang Abramyan, this certificate is a guarantee of security while using ArCa cards.

The volume of cash and non-cash deals with the use of ArCa cards made 315bln AMD in 2009.
