Yerevan /Mediamax/. Board of the Central Bank of Armenia left the refinancing rate unchanged at the volume of 5% today. As Mediamax was informed in the Armenian CB press service, inflation at the volume of 1.2% was registered in November, 2009, as compared to October, in conditions of which the annual inflation made 4.6%, having increased by 1.1 percentage points as compared to the previous month. CB Board confirmed that, along with global economy revival tendencies, external sector inflationary pressures intensified in the accounting period, the fact being conditioned by faster speeds of growth of world prices for ore raw materials and main foodstuffs products, than it was expected. Simultaneously, in conditions of domestic economic activity and gradual reestablishment of gross demand, additional inflationary pressures are expected. Given uncertainty of the preserved economic decline and speeds of gross demand reestablishment, Armenian CB Board yet refrains from taking up toughening of monetary-credit policy conditions.
