Yerevan /Mediamax/. “Ameriabank” starts crediting programs for renewable energy sphere and small and medium enterprises.

Mediamax reports that the bank’s Director for Corporate Customers Levon Arevshatyan said this in Yerevan today.

Within the framework of minor energy crediting program, companies may turn to receive loans for constructing or upgrading of small hydropower and windmill power plants. The loan repayment terms will make up to 8 years with three years’ period of grace. The loan annual interest rates will start from 11%.

Levon Arevshatyan informed that the volume of the loan program makes $20mln, provided to the bank by 2 international financial institutions. According to the forecasts of the bank, as a result of realizing the programs, minor power plants with the aggregate capacity of 15-20 megawatt will be constructed or modernized.

“Ameriabank” will implement a complete system of forecasting, deterring and neutralizing ecology risks. The corresponding specialists will participate in making decisions providing loans for this or that program, Levon Arevshatyan stated.

Talking about the new loan program for small and medium enterprises, which is being launched in the bank, he noted that it is meant mainly for medium companies, the annual turnover of which makes up to $15mln, and the number of employees – up to 250 people. Within the framework of the given loan program, companies may receive funding of up to $1.5mln at low interest rates (supposedly, starting from 11% annually). Levon Arevshatyan informed that the given loan program, the volume of which makes $40mln, is also realized in cooperation with international financial institutions.
