Yerevan /Mediamax/. In January-August, 2009, Armenian GDP cut down by 18,4%, as compared to the same period of last year.

As Mediamax was told in the National Statistical Service today, GDP volume in January-August made 1 trillion 761bln 874.9mln AMD.

The volume of industrial output in the Republic in January-August, 2009, made 393bln 825.9mln AMD, having cut down by 8.1%, as compared to the analogous period of 2008.

At that, the largest decline is registered in the sphere of construction (52.6%).

Average monthly salary in Armenia in January-August, 2009, increased, as compared to the same period of 2008, by 12.3%, and made 99 061 AMD.

At that, the salary in budget organizations increased by 18.2% and made 82 026 AMD in the accounting period, and in non-budget organizations – 123 620 AMD (growth 7.3%).

In January-August, 2009, Armenia export cut down by 41,1%

Foreign-trade turnover in Armenia in January-August, 2009, made 837.2bln AMD or $2bln 360.4mln, having cut down by 29.9%, as compared to the same period of 2008.

As Mediamax was told in the National Statistical Service today, export volume cut down by 41.1% and made 146.0bln AMD or $408.9mln in the accounting period. Import in January-August, 2009, cut down by 27%, as compared to the analogues period of 2008, and made 691.2bln AMD or $1951.5mln.

Deficit of foreign trade balance in January-August, 2009, made 545.2bln AMD or $1bln 542.6mln.
