Yerevan /Mediamax/. In January-May, 2009, Armenian GDP cut down by 15.7%, as compared to the same period of last year. As Mediamax was told in the National Statistical Service today, GDP volume in January-May made 839bln 356.6mln AMD. The volume of industrial production in the Republic in January-May, 2009, made 226bln 890.9mln AMD, having cut down by 10.5%, as compared to the analogous period of 2008. At that, the largest decline is registered in the sphere of construction (56.1%). Average monthly salary in Armenia in January-May, 2009, increased, as compared to the same period of 2008, by 13.4%, and made 97 527 AMD. At that, the salary in budget organizations increased by 17.6% and made 80 857 AMD in the accounting period, and in non-budget organizations – 121 990 AMD (growth 7.9%). In January-May, 2009, Armenian export cut down for almost 50% Foreign trade turnover of Armenia in January-May, 2009, made 451.2bln AMD or $1312.1mln, having cut down by 33.7%, as compared to the same period of 2008. As Mediamax was told in the National Statistical Service today, export volume has cut down by 47.8%, making in the accounting period 76.4bln AMD or $$220.1mln; import in January-May, 2009, cut down, as compared to the analogous period of 2008, by 29.9%, making 374.8bln AMD, or $1092,0mln.
