Yerevan /Mediamax/. European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is in process of talks with the Central Bank (CB) of Armenia on providing banks with loans in national currency. Mediamax reports that the Head of Yerevan office of EBRD Valeri Razlog said this in Yerevan today. “At present, EBRD has no assets in AMD, this is why we consider the opportunity of attracting them and we are already in process of negotiations with the Armenian CB”, Valeri Razlog stated, noting that CB has not yet responded to the proposals of EBRD. “If we manage to attract AMD assets, we will start talks with banks and the real sector of Armenia for providing them with loans in AMD”, Valeri Razlog stated. He added that the expected annual volume of AMD assets, which EBRD plans to direct to crediting, will make $50-$100mln. Tweet Views 13793
