Yerevan /Mediamax/. “Araratbank” is in the list of best banks of Armenia.

Mediamax reports that Chairman of the Central Bank (CB) of Armenia Artur Javadyan said this at the annual meeting of the bank shareholders in Yerevan today.

According to him due to correct assessment of risks and efficient corporate management, in a short period of time the bank managed to occupy leading positions in the market. Artur Javadyan noted that today “Araratbank” occupies the first place as to provision of standard credits and their volume in the total credit portfolio of the bank makes 98%. “Probably, there are yet certain issues to deal with as to capital and accounts, however the growth rates of the bank are responsible”, Artur Javadyan stated.

Presenting plans for 2009, Executive Director of “Araratbank” Ashot Osipyan stated that the bank plans to consolidate its risk management. He stressed that as of today, efficient assessment and management of risks is the most urgent task for commercial banks”.
