Yerevan /Mediamax/. 17 banks and 4 credit organizations entered the list of 300 top taxpayers of Armenia following the results of quarter I of 2009.

Mediamax reports that the largest taxpayer of the Armenian banking sector in the first quarter of 2009 is “VTB Bank (Armenia)”, which occupied the 17th place in the list. The total sum of the paid taxes made 464mln 725.9 thousand AMD.

The 18th place is occupied by “HSBC Bank Armenia”, which paid 459 213.4 thousand AMD of taxes. 21st line in the list is occupied by “Unibank” (431 292.2 thousand AMD).

The list also includes “ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank” (24th place, 400 299.9 thousands), “Ardshininvestbank” (33rd place, 338 411.7 thousands), “Inecobank” (70th place, 172 644.4 thousands), “Converse Bank” (85th place, 139 069.6 thousands), “Armbusinessbank” (116th place, 111 194.3 thousands), “Ameriabank” (125th place, 105 421.2 thousands), “Mellat Bank” (132nd place, 101 600.7 thousands), “Areximbank” (136th place, 97 808.1 thousands), “Anelik Bank” (173rd place, 78 079,5 thousands), “Armenian Development Bank” (192nd place, 72 159.8 thousands), “ProCredit Bank” (193rd place, 72 131.2 thousands), “ARARATBANK” (235th place, 59 871,9 thousands), “Armeconombank” (243rd place, 57 550,7 thousands) and “BTA Bank” (270th place, 51 338.7 thousands).

“Finca” Universal Credit Organization is in the 144th place, the total sum of its tax payments in the first quarter making 90mln 818.6 thousand AMD. “Aregak” Universal Credit Organization is in the 188th place (72 970.3 thousand AMD), the 237th place is occupied by “Norvik” Universal Credit Organization (59 213.8 thousand AMD), the 285th place– “ACBA Leasing” Credit Organization (48 185.5 thousands).

As to the sum of social payments in the financial sector of Armenia the leading companies are: “ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank” (12th place, 105 804.2 thousand AMD). The 14th place is occupied by “Ardshininvestbank” (82 484.1 thousands), and the 19th place – “VTB Bank (Armenia)” (68 800.0 thousand AMD).
