Yerevan /Mediamax/. Meeting of the President and the Prime Minister of Armenia with leaders of leaders of 48 political parties, devoted to the influence of the global crisis on the Armenian economy, lasted over 4 hours in Yerevan today.

Mediamax reports that the Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsian stated after the meeting that such consultations give the opportunity to get to know the moods of political parties and seek joint ways to overcome the existing difficulties.

The Prime Minister informed that during the meeting the leaders of all political forces had the chance to make verbal and written proposals concerning the ways to overcome the influence of the global economic crisis on Armenia. Tigran Sargsian stated that at the meeting “very interesting and valuable proposals” were voiced concerning tax policy, crediting issues, tools for provision of state credits, participation of the government in containment of ungrounded growth of prices, etc.

The Prime Minister informed that in the nearest future the government will consider the most interesting proposals made today.

Tigran Sargsian stated that during the meeting “constructive” criticism was also voiced addressed to the leadership of the country.
