Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenia occupied the 9th place among 36 counties as to the level of presence of women in senior managerial positions. As Mediamax was told in Marketing Department of “Grant Thornton Amyot”, following the research of “Grant Thornton International”, Armenian women hold 29% of senior managerial positions; while globally the index makes 24%. According to the partner of “Grant Thornton Amyot” Lilit Arabajyan, the results of this survey only show that there has been an increase of 7% in women’s managerial share in 2009 in Armenia, as compared to 22% of the year 2007. “In our firm, 51% of staff are women, among whom 11 persons occupy managerial positions”, Lilit Arabajyan noted. The three leader counties are the Philippines (47%), Russia (42%) and Thailand (38%), and the lowest percentage is in Japan - only 7%. Tweet Views 10343
