Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsian stated that the government is ready to establish “exceptional conditions” for realizing investments aiming at developing local production.

As Mediamax was told in the press service of the government, the Prime Minister said this on February 7 at the meeting with large importers and suppliers. Tigran Sargsian noted that importers may use their opportunities, knowledge, experience in relations with the external markets for stimulating local production and for being transformed into producers-exporters.

In conditions of the global financial crisis, the Armenian government is ready to render maximum assistance to development of local production, the Prime Minister stated.

“The global financial-economic crisis has set up a new situation for the government as well. We should take up crisis prevention measures: attract investments, make decisions, which would contribute to creation of new workplaces, stimulate development of the processing industry”, Tigran Sargsian stated.

The Prime Minister expressed hope that following the results of the meeting, entrepreneurs-importers will present business programs, and the government is ready to assist the realization of those programs.
