Yerevan /Mediamax/. “Valletta” LLC will built the largest in the South Caucasus factory to produce meat foods and a plant to process coffee. Mediamax reports that Director of the Company Shahen Stepanyan said this at a news conference in Yerevan today. According to him, both productions are planned to be built in 2009-2010. “Besides this, we plan to expand the network of fast food points, “Star” supermarkets and realize new franchising in Armenia”, Shahen Stepanyan stated. Financial Director of “Valletta” Armen Berberyan stated that the global crisis did not influence the company’s plans. “We are not realizing staff reductions, on the contrary, next week we are going to hire 35 new employees”, Armen Berberyan stated. Deputy Financial Director of “Valletta” Hayk Kakoyan noted that “a bright proof of the company’s stability is the large credit, which in the nearest future will be provided to the company by an authority English bank”. At that, Hayk Kakoyan did not specify the name of the creditor-bank and the volume of the credit. Answering the question of Mediamax on the attitude of “Valletta” leadership towards increasing attention of the state towards commitments of large business, Shahen Stepanyan stated that “the new culture of relations between the state and large business becomes more noticeable each day”. “We welcome the stance of the government, the start of reforms is promising, and we hope that everyone will benefit from them”, Shahen Stepanyan stated.
