Within the framework of the IRIS RECONOMY Accelerator Program, Armeconombank is cooperating with the IRIS Business Incubator to offer small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating in the fields of agriculture, agri-production, tourism, and hospitality access to alternative investment financing. The bank reported that the program aims to ensure access to investment capital for businesses at the growth, expansion, and scaling stages by transferring relevant business knowledge, developing managerial capacities, and strengthening financial management and strategic planning skills. As a program partner, Armeconombank manages the IRIS Business Incubator’s revolving fund, providing concessional loans of up to AMD 10 million at an annual interest rate of 9%. In addition, the bank is involved in all stages of the program by offering advisory services, mentoring support, and contributing to the improvement of entrepreneurs’ financial literacy. It is noted that as part of the program, a regional informational meeting was held on December 19 in Ijevan with entrepreneurs operating in the Tavush region. During the meeting, Natalie Nasibyan, IRIS RECONOMY Accelerator Program Engagement Expert, and Anna Yeghoyan, Head of the Environmental and Social Risk Management Department of Armeconombank, presented the program’s details, including its core mission, application requirements, and key stages. In her remarks, Natalie Nasibyan addressed the main challenges facing Armenia’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, noting that the program – consisting of nine online and offline modules – aims to enable entrepreneurs with an established level of stability to further expand their operations.Presenting the main lending conditions, Anna Yeghoyan emphasized that loans are issued based on the financial analysis of operating businesses. She highlighted that Armeconombank is ready to provide tailored advisory support to help entrepreneurs overcome potential obstacles and secure the necessary financing. She also noted that over the four years of cooperation with the IRIS Business Incubator, more than 50 successful lending cases have been recorded, with a zero overdue loan portfolio. One of the success stories is Political Café, operating in Ijevan, founded by spouses Anahit and Narek, beneficiaries of previous program phases. “We were among the first beneficiaries of the IRIS Business Incubator. We applied to two programs, through which we established our Political Café. First, we opened a café in the city of Talin in 2020, and one year later in Ijevan. The funds raised were used to purchase necessary equipment and furniture. We are also planning to apply to the IRIS RECONOMY Accelerator Program, as we intend to introduce conceptual changes to the café in the near future,” says Anahit, adding that financing attracted on favorable terms significantly stimulates effective business expansion.Applications for participation in the program are accepted from November 11, 2025, to January 12, 2026.Further details about the program are available here.Armeconombank is supervised by the Central Bank of Armenia.
