EFES Insurance introduces EFES Oncocare, a new insurance product designed for individuals, families, and businesses, providing comprehensive coverage for oncological illnesses.

EFES Oncocare, developed in accordance with international standards, offers a fixed monetary benefit upon cancer diagnosis։ the second leading cause of death in Armenia. Additionally, it provides access to a Medical Second Opinion (MSO) on the prescribed treatment, diagnosis, or test results.

This exceptional product is the result of a collaboration with the globally renowned Swiss Re reinsurance company and Mediguide, a U.S.-based leader in providing second medical opinions. Through this partnership, EFES clients gain access to the same high standard of healthcare found in the world’s most advanced medical institutions.

EFES Oncocare is affordable. Depending on age, monthly premiums start at just 420 AMD, offering coverage ranging from 4,000,000 AMD to 30,000,000 AMD for invasive cancer and benign brain and spinal cord tumors. For pre-invasive cancer, 10% of the sum insured is provided, giving the beneficiaries full discretion over the use of the funds. For example, a 35-year-old individual would pay only 1,620 AMD for 4,000,000 AMD coverage.

In addition to financial support, EFES Oncocare provides access to the Medical Second Opinion service from Mediguide. Customers receive expert opinions on treatment plans or diagnoses from renowned international clinics, including Harvard Medical School, Cedars Sinai, Texas Children’s Hospital, Germany’s Charité, Sana Hospital Group, the UK’s NHS King’s College Hospital, and many more.

The consequences of misdiagnosis or incorrect treatment can be severe, affecting quality of life and potentially leading to disability or even death. In 2022, among the cases evaluated by Mediguide, 3.20% resulted in a change of diagnosis, while 88.23% resulted in a change of treatment plan.

EFES Oncocare is available to individuals aged 0-80 without requiring a prior medical examination. Additionally, children up to 21 years old are automatically included under the parent’s policy at no extra cost, regardless of the number of children.
