Yerevan /Mediamax/. Global financial crisis will not affect investment programs of “Gazprombank” in Armenia, General Director of “Areximbank” Armen Khandkaryan stated in Yerevan today. Mediamax reports that Armen Khandkaryan stated that although the influence of the crisis on the Armenian economy is inevitable and is already tangible, the banking sector of the country managed to avoid it due to its high liquidity and non-involvement in global exchange markets. “The programs of the owner of “Areximbank” – “Gazprombank” for 2009 in Armenia remain in effect: the bank plans to realize a number of volume investment programs in the country”, Armen Khandkaryan stated. Financial Director of “Areximbank” Tigran Galstyan informed that the assets of “Areximbank” increased for 12bln, as compared to the beginning of the year, making 33bln AMD, the attracted means increased for 20bln AMD (growth – 25%), and the credit investments of the bank as of the end of the year made 19.5bln AMD, having increased for 80% as compared to the beginning of the year. “The total capital of the bank increased in the course of a year for 6bln and made 9.5bln, and the annual profit of the bank before taxation is expected at the level of 430-450mln AMD”, Tigran Galstyan stated.
