Yerevan /Mediamax/. “Unibank” has taken up installation of Blade type server group.

As Mediamax was told in “Unibank” today, the data of the server allow significantly increasing the quality of work and the reliability of the bank’s information systems. The multiple duplication and reservation of such systems and the modern archiving systems allow significantly increasing the reliability of the bank’s work.

“Today “Unibank” realizes over 50% of money transfers in Armenia by means of “Unistream” system. The turnover of the system on Armenia this year has already exceeded $760mln. It is natural that the increase of processed information volumes required increase of the work efficiency, improvement of the customer service quality and provision of uninterrupted work of business processes”, Information Systems Director of “Unibank” Mesrop Hakobyan stated.

In 2009, “Unibank” plans to invest a few millions USD in the infrastructure of information technologies and in IT-security. In the first place, this is conditioned by the bank’s plans to make a transition already in March, 2009, to an on-line system and a single data base on all branches of the bank in Armenia and NKR. Such a system has already been functioning since July, 2008, in all Yerevan branches of “Unibank”, and since October, also in the adjacent regions – Ashtarak, Armavir and Hrazdan.

“Unibank” has also announced that from now on the receivers of money transfers by “Unistream” from Russia may also receive SMS-messages on delivery of the transfer if they wish. The service is paid, but in New Year celebration days it will be provided free of charge.
