Armbusinessbank, being the successful winner of the tender of UNO World Food Program, has issued Food Support Cards to be provided to low-income families in the border settlements of Syunik, Gegharkunik and Vayots Dzor.Armbusinessbank said that its food support cards are designed only for non-cash purchase of food products. The initiative is carried out under the auspices of “Increasing the resilience of border communities of Armenia and recovery of Armenian economy” program funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and implemented through the UN World Food Program in cooperation with World Vision Armenia, The Children Development Fund and the Agency for Strategic Development.It is noted that the goal of the program is to improve living standards of socially vulnerable people in the border settlements of Vardenis (Gegharkunik), Sisian (Syunik) and Jermuk (Vayots Dzor) communities suffered in the conflict. As part of this program, the UN World Food Program provides support to 3,000 socially needy people living in 15 border communities of Armenia.Armbusinessbank is controlled by the Central Bank of Armenia.
