Yerevan /Mediamax/. The start of investment projects realization with the participation of the co-owner of Armenian “Unibank”## and Russian “Uniastrum Bank” Gagik Zakaryan at the total sum of $35mln was announced in Yerevan today.

Mediamax reports that within the framework of the given projects two companies are established: “UNIRESO” Insurance Company and “GEGAMET” mining company.

The founders of “UNIRESO” are Gagik Zakaryan and the owner of Russian “RESO Guarantee” insurance company Sergey Sarkisov. The initial authorized capital stock of the company makes $2mln. It is planned that in the course of 2-3 years it will reach up to $10mln.

Gagik Zakaryan stated that “today it is a good time to develop insurance services in Armenia – this is accounted for by the economic growth, the appearance of new companies, which need support in insurance sphere”.

“UNIRESO” will deal with insuring risks of enterprises and will be developing the retail line of insurance business.

The total sum of the project as to “GEGAMET” Company makes $25mln. “GEGAMET” is an Armenian-Russian-British Company. Gagik Zakaryan from the Russian side, Metta Group from the Armenian side and Torront Holdings Limiter from the British side participated in founding the Company.

According to Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Sarkisian, the establishment of a new insurance company will contribute to the increase of financial risks management level, and the establishment of “GEGAMET” evidences the fact that such projects can be launched even in conditions of a global crisis and fall of prices for feedstock in the mining industry.
