Google Pay payment service has been launched in Armenia since November 15. From now on, residents of Armenia can use Google Pay to make fast, convenient and safe payments.

Visa welcomed the entry of Google Pay to Armenia.



“The new Google Pay contactless payment method will make a great contribution to the development of the cashless economy in Armenia,” Visa said in a news release.

Diana Kiguradze, Visa regional manager, Caucasus, noted that they are excited that Visa marks the 20th anniversary of its presence in Armenia.

“During these years we have been working together with banks, partners and government institutions to build a successful state with developed modern economy and digital society. We established a tradition of expanding payment ecosystem in the country by creating infrastructure and taking care of our cardholders. In this regard, we are excited to offer our cardholders another innovative solution and welcome Google Pay to Armenia,” Diana Kiguradze said.

She thanked partner banks for joint efforts to make this possible.
