Yerevan /Mediamax/. Ernst & Young have announced the opening of a new office in Yerevan and the latter’s joining the network of the company in Europe##, Middle East, India and Africa (EMEIA).

As Mediamax was told in the press service of Yerevan office of Ernst & Young, to participate in the opening ceremony of the new office, Karl Johansson, Ernst & Young CIS Managing Partner, and Hakob Sarkissian, Head of CIS Transaction Advisory Services, have arrived in Armenia.

“The increasingly growing Armenian market and, in particular, its close ties with the EMEIA Area, not least through a growing number of our global and EMEIA clients’ subsidiaries opening here, have drawn us to the decision of reaffirming our presence in the country”, Karl Johansson stated. According to him, almost all of Ernst & Young customers in Armenia have significant influence on the Armenian economy.

Hakob Sarkissian informed that over the next few years the Armenian office of Ernst & Young will be operating with professional support from other EMEIA offices, adding that at present 16 specialists of Yerevan office undergo training in Moscow representative office of the Company.

Ernst & Young enters the list of four largest companies in the world in the sphere of audit and consulting. The Company has been present in the Armenian market since 1998.
