Yerevan /Mediamax/. The growth of Armenia’s GDP in January-September of 2008 totaled 10,3%, as compared to the same period of 2007##.

As the press service of the National Statistical Service of Armenia told Mediamax today, the GDP volume in January-September of 2008 totaled 2 604 602.7mln drams.

The volume of industrial production in the republic in January-September of 2008 stood at 570 232.2mln drams, having increased by 3.4%, as compared to the same period of 2007.

The average monthly salary in Armenia in January-September of 2008 increased by 20.2%, as compared to the same period of 2007, thus making 88 581 drams.

At that the salary of budget organizations increased by 19.9%, making 63 022 drams during the accounting period, and the salary of non-budget organizations stood at 109 300 drams (growth – 18,9%).

The foreign trade turnover of Armenia in January-September of 2008 totaled 1173.1bln drams or $3 837.0mln, having increased by 27,2 %, as compared to the same period of 2007.

As the press service of the National Statistical Service of Armenia told Mediamax today, the export volume during the accounting period made 248,8bln drams or $813,8mln, having decreased by 8,2%, as compared to the same period of 2007, and the import volume totaled 924,3bln drams or $3023.2mln, having increased for 38.3%.

The deficit of the foreign trade balance in January-September of 2008 made 675,5bln drams or $2 209.4mln.
