The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Government of Armenia today launched a new distance education platform to help ensure the continuity of formal schooling. The platform was developed through a $750,000 Knowledge and Support Technical Assistance project of ADB.“ADB is happy to support the Government of Armenia in providing access to quality and continuous education for all through the development and use of innovative digital technologies. We will continue to support other education sector initiatives in Armenia as part of our Country Partnership Strategy,” ADB Country Director for Armenia Paolo Spantigati said. The platform supports the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport (MoESCS) to ensure quality and continuous education no matter the situation. The platform will benefit schools in remote areas of Armenia that lack qualified teaching staff and will lead to the adoption of a hybrid mode of education in Armenia that will enhance education outcomes.
