Yerevan /Mediamax/. Novosibirsk RATM Holding will become the new owner of “Mika-Cement” CJSC##, the owner of which is businessman Eduard Taran, Russian “Vedomosti” newspaper informed today.

General Director and Co-owner of “RATM-Cement Holding” Victor Belyayev informed that in the beginning of July, a protocol was signed on the intention to purchase “Mika-Cement” and the advance payment was made. By August 20, the complex examination of the state of affairs in the company will be concluded, after which, in the course of five banking days, the purchase and sale agreement will be signed.

The package, which RATM is to buy, will make from 75% plus one share up to 100%, Victor Belyayev informed. At the same time, the present owner of the Company Mikhail Baghdasarov informed the newspaper that the configuration of the deal is not yet defined and the share of RATM may be smaller. The sum of the deal is not revealed by the sides, the Russian financial analysts assess the factory to make $60-$120mln.

Mikhail Baghdasarov also informed that the money, received from the sale of the factory, is to be invested in the expansion of the park of “Armavia” Airline, belonging to him.

The purchase of “Mika-Cement” is realized within the framework of the strategic development program of RATM, according to which by 2014, the company should produce no less than 10mln tons of cement per year. According to Victor Belyayev, by the next summer, RATM will invest $15-17mln in reconstruction of the factory, after which it will enter the projected capacity of 1,2mln tons. Additional volumes will be supplied to the European part of Russia, and, probably, to the construction of Olympic objects in Sochi. According to Victor Belyayev, it is possible to sell up to 800 thousand tons of cement per year only in Sochi.
