HayPost and the Yerevan Subway jointly organize an expo of stamps at “Yeritasaradakan” station of the Yerevan subway. The expo is aimed to present once again the Armenian culture to the society, this time through philately products, as well as to provide information about eminent Armenians. The expo will display stamps and souvenir sheets issued within 2010-2021, which talk about the rich cultural heritage, flora and fauna, sights of interest, remarkable events and people of Armenia.Among the presented stamps and souvenir sheets there is the first audio souvenir sheet of Armenia, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Arno Babajanyan. By downloading ARLOOPA app and scanning the S-sheet, it is possible to listen to Babajanyan’s “Nocturne”, performed by the composer himself. The expo also displays the stamps that have won first prizes in the annual international EUROPA competition. The independent Republic of Armenia issued its first stamps in 1992, opening a new page in the history of the Armenian philately. More than 1000 stamps and souvenir sheets have been issued since then, dedicated to the Armenian Genocide, to the Armenian religion, culture, science, arts, production, sport, flora and fauna, architecture, and other subjects.
