Air tickets for flights from Russia to Armenia are the most in-demand tickets among Russian travelers as of Q1, 2021, Tutu.ru travel service says in a study, TASS reports.

“According to Tutu.ru’s sales data, Armenia is the most popular destination for Russians traveling by air. Nearly 20% of sold tickets to foreign destinations were for flights to Armenia, and the country’s share in the demand for air tickets among independent travelers has grown by almost 1.5 time compared to the 2020 data (the study analyzed the tickets purchased between January 1 and February 15 and the flights to be conducted between January 1 and June 30),” the study says.

The average price for an airplane ticket for a Moscow-Yerevan flight is slightly over RUB 13,000, and the average check for the air tickets for this route now costs almost twice as much as previously.

Kyrgyzstan is the second most popular destination. The top ten includes Moldova, Azerbaijan, Belarus, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and Ukraine.
