EIB launches fintech fund in Poland

The European Investment Fund (EIF) has teamed up with Polish national development bank, Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) to launch a €30m venture capital fintech fund.


The fund will focus its investment on early stage startups in Central and Eastern Europe, Finextra reports.

It will be managed by Inovo.vc, a Polish venture capital fund manager. Its managing partner Tomasz Swieboda said that it is important that "the next generation of global technology leaders will come from Poland and the region".
