Yerevan /Mediamax/. Nacho Velichkov is appointed new Chief Executive Officer of “ArmenTel” CJSC (Beeline brand)##.

Mediamax was told about this in press service of “ArmenTel”, subsidiary of Russian “VimpelCom” OJSC.

Commenting on the appointment of Nacho Velichkov, Executive Vice-President of “VimpelCom” on Business Development in CIS states Dmitri Pleskonos stated that the Company has licenses in Armenia for all types of communication and while choosing the Chief Executive Officer, it based on the all-comprehensive and successful managerial experience of Velichkov.

““ArmenTel” Company is an important constituent part of our business and in many respects is a determining element for the strategy of “VimpelCom” development in other states”, Dmitri Pleskonos stated, expressing confidence that the knowledge of the new CEO will help the Company to efficiently realize the tasks set for it on implementation of leading telecommunication technologies and consolidating leading positions in the sphere of service.

“I am happy to be within “VimpelCom” team and head “ArmenTel” – one of the largest companies of Armenia”, Nacho Velichkov stated. According to him, the basic goals for today for the company are the development of Beeline brand in the territory of Armenia, the launch of services based on 3G network and convergent services, as well as improvement of connection quality and the level of maintenance.

“Succeeding in these directions, we will certainly be popular among the residents of Armenia and will become the leading service company of the country”, New CEO of “ArmenTel” stated.

Nacho Velichkov is 46, he was born in Bulgaria, received higher education in Russia. In 2001, received MBA Degree in Seattle University in the USA, and in 2007 – a Diploma on Management and Leadership from the Massachusetts Technology Institute in the USA.

Earlier, Nacho Velichkov occupied the position in charge of corporate sales of the largest mobile operator of Bulgaria, MobilTel Company. Starting from 2005, he has been the Marketing and Sales Manager of “Bulgarian Telecommunication Company”.
