Yerevan /Mediamax/. Beeline became the general sponsor of the Armenian Olympic team, which will perform during the Olympic Games in Beijing##.

Mediamax reports that the sponsor framework agreement was signed today by the President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Armenia Gagik Tsarukian and the Acting General Director of “ArmenTel” Company Gennady Kalgashkin. The corresponding memorandum was singed also by the Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs of Armenia Armen Grigorian and the Executive Vice-President of “VimpelCom” OJSC on business development in CIS states Dmitri Pleskonos.

“NOC of Armenia carries out serious work to prepare the Armenian sportsman for the Olympic Games in Beijing. We are glad that particularly Beeline took upon itself the mission of the general sponsor of our team”, Gagik Tsarukian stated.

“By supporting the Olympic team of the republic, we intend to make our contribution to the development of Olympic movement in Armenia, the development of promising sportsman and propaganda of healthy lifestyle. Besides, the participation in this bright event opens for our subscribers the opportunity to see the new facets of Beeline in full measure. We wish the Armenian Olympic sportsmen only victories”, Dmitri Pleskonos stated.

Mediamax notes that, as of today, already 17 Armenian sportsmen have gained permit for the participation in Beijing Olympiad. Their number may increase, taking into account the upcoming international test tournaments in June.
