The Central Bank of Armenia has issued two silver collector coings, “Gevorg Chavush” and “The 75th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War”.The obverse of “Gevorg Chavush” coin depicts a shield and a sword against the background of the rays of sunshine. The reverse bears the prototype of the sculptural portrait of Gevorg Chavush (a fragment from the memorial complex dedicated to the Armenian hajduk by sculptor Y. Minasyan) and an eagle with a sword.The coin’s metal/fineness is silver 925, the weight is 33.6g, the 40.0mm is, and the quantity is 500 pieces.The obverse of “The 75th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War” coin depicts the monument “Mother Armenia” in Yerevan and the 1-st class Order of the Patriotic War. The reverse bears a shield and the St. George Ribbon.The coin’s metal/fineness is silver 925, the weight is 67.2g, the 50.0mm is, and the quantity is 500 pieces.The coins are designed by Karapet Abrahamyan and minted in the Lithuanian Mint.
