Yerevan, February 8 /Mediamax/. Ericsson and “ArmenTel” signed a contract to construct a convergent network of next generation, based on IP Multimedia Subsystem solutions. As Mediamax was told in Ericsson today, after the construction of the new network, “ArmenTel” will be able to offer its subscribers convergent services, the access to which will be realized from both the fixed and the mobile connection networks. Under the agreement, Ericsson will transform the existing fixed network of the operator, installed by other producers. The deal includes Ericsson systems integration services of required IP-platforms and applications to enable convergent IMS service offering, such as IP telephony and multimedia services to consumers and business customers.
