Yerevan, February 4 /Mediamax/. First “model” postal department of “HayPost” opened in Yerevan today. It is located at 23 Marshal Baghramian Avenue.

Mediamax reports that, speaking today at the opening ceremony, the General Director of “HayPost” CJSC Hans Boon informed that the given postal department fully corresponds to the standards, present in the posts of the USA, Europe and Japan.

“The department is fully equipped with modern computer equipment, the interior design corresponds to the modern standards, the service personnel will wear “HayPost” uniform, and the department is also equipped with a security system”, Hans Boon stated.

According to him, in the course of the nearest few days, the opening of another similar department in Yerevan is planned. On the whole, 50 modernized postal departments are planned to be opened in 2008 in the territory of Armenia.

“Up to 2010, it is planned to computerize in accordance with the European standards 80% of all the postal departments of Armenia and renovate the autopark”, Hans Boon stated.
