Armenia ranks 69th with 82.5 points among 190 countries in World Bank’s “Women, Business and the Law” report based on the indicators of fundamental freedoms for women.The report assigned data points clustered in 8 indicators: Mobility, Workplace, Pay, Marriage, Parenthood, Entrepreneurship, Assets, and Pension.In regard to Armenia, the report highlights that the country enacted legislation protecting women from domestic violence.The WB report awarded 82.5 points to Turkey, 78.8 points to Azerbaijan, 85.6 points to Georgia and 73.1 points to Russia.The World Bank experts note in the report that there has been tangible progress in the legal framework regarding women: in the last two years 40 economies implemented reforms toward equality of opportunity across the eight indicators measured.
