IDBank Council has appointed Mher Abrahamyan the new Chairman of the Management Board.

The bank said that the Central Bank of Armenia affirmed Abrahamyan’s candidacy on December 19.

Chairman of IDBank Council Vartan Dilanyan has noted that Mher Abrahamyan has 20 years of experience in finance. The new chairman supports the bank’s vision for development and key points of strategy and expressed the readiness to implement them.

“I am certain that under Mr. Abrahamyan’s leadership IDBank will overcome any challenges and successfully reach our rather ambitious goals,” said Vartan Dilanyan.

According to him, acting Chairman of the Management Board, Financial Director Ruben Melikyan will serve as Deputy Chairman.

Previously, Mher Abrahamyan worked as Head of Financial System Regulation Department at Central Bank. He started his career in finance in 1999.

The new chairman graduated from Yerevan State Institute of Economy and later studied at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy (Tufts University). Mher Abrahamyan has CFA I and CFA II certification.
