Idram users can now access NFC contactless payments system via smartphones.

The service is available for those Idram users, whose smartphones with Android and IOS operating systems support NFC technology.

“This is the first introduction of NFC contactless payment technology via smartphones in Armenian market. Currently, we are running a pilot project in “Evrika” supermarket chain,” said Arsen Kdenyan, General Director at Idram.

He emphasized that Idram plans to implement NFC technology in the industries of their other partners in addition to the QR payment service, which was introduced to the market in
2016.

“This technology makes it possible to simplify and accelerate the full payment cycle for our users, send a payment request or get cashback. The point of sales across the market will be equipped with another convenient tool of non-cash payments,” he added.

In conclusion, Arsen Kdenyan noted that Idram will continue developing contactless payments technologies for a wider range of users.
