Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan and UK Ambassador to Armenia Judith Farnworth met to discuss the potential and capacities of development of Armenian-British cooperation in finance and trade.The Armenian government’s press service said that at the meeting Mher Grigoryan attached importance to continuous expansion of collaboration between the two countries and shared his appreciation for the presence of British business and cultural elements in Armenia.He qualified the activity of British companies in Armenia as not simply foreign investment, but also a factor of forming government-approved business environment and regulations. According to Deputy Prime Minister, the culture of transparency and social responsibility in business, as well as fair operation in general often can be fully comprehended not from reviews, but through cooperation with honest partners.Mher Grigoryan emphasized that even one proper institutional investor creates a whole chain of positive developments, which helps the state identify accurate functions for itself.Grigoryan noted that the Armenian government is interested in attracting not simply funds, but high-quality capital. He highlighted that the government has a clear priority goal to achieve: any business should have inner regulations for corporate management, be transparent and aspire to be a part of public capital market.
