Yerevan, July 6 /Mediamax/. 29-year-old Cedric Retailleau is appointed the new President and General Director of the Yerevan Brandy Company (YBC), which makes part of the International Pernod Ricard Group. Mediamax reports that during the news conference, which took place in Yerevan on July 5, Cedric Retailleau was presented by the Director of Pernod Ricard Eastern Europe Frank Boivin. Cedric Retailleau preserved the position of the General Director of the Georgian Wine Company GWS, which he has been occupying since March of 2005. In 2000-2005, Cedric Retailleau worked in “Havana Club International” in Havana. The Former President and the General Director of YBC Herve Caroff is appointed Director on Development and Operations of Pernod Ricard Eastern Europe and will, in particular, be responsible for the promotion of “ArArAt”, GWS and “Altai” vodka brands. Cedric Retailleau stated that he considers his primary task to be the strengthening of the positions of “ArArAt” brand on the traditional markets - Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and its entry the new ones. Frank Boivin described “ArArAt” as a “strong brand on the post-Soviet territory”, and noted that the premiumization process, which was started at the YBC 2 years ago, gave good results. “In the course of the 9 years, during which the Pernod Ricard owns the Yerevan Brandy Company, the most important for us has been and remains the preservations of the best traditions of brandy production in Armenia”, Frank Boivin stated.
