Yerevan, May 2 /Mediamax/. The State Commission on Protection of Economic Competition decided today to stop the consideration of the case, initiated on the basis of mutual complaints of “ArmenTel” and “K-Telecom” [VivaCell trademark] mobile operators. Mediamax reports that the Commission made the given decision, based on the statements of “ArmenTel” and “K-Telecom”, in which the companies informed that they do not have claims for each other anymore. As the General Director of “ArmenTel” Oleg Bliznyuk stated, the specialists of the Company held a more detailed study and revealed that information on the corporative OPTIMA+ tariff is provided in all the service points of VivaCell. In its turn, the representative of “K-Telecom” stated that the technical department of the company thoroughly examined the calculations, presented by “ArmenTel” and came to a conclusion that the tariffs within the “Family and Friends” package are not dumping. Chairman of the Commission Ashot Shahnazarian demanded from the sides to present to the Commission grounds for their conclusions as a proof that “the companies did not agree between the two of them on the minimal price, which is a violation of the law on economic competition”. Answering Mediamax’s question, Oleg Bliznyuk stressed that ““ArmenTel” has not agreed with “KH-Telecom” - we have just provided information to the technical service, and our specialists explained the logics of holding calculations”. The General Director of “ArmenTel” stated that “we have already presented to the Commission a quite detailed report, however, there is also its more comprehensive variant, which we can also present”. The General Director of VivaCell Company Ralph Yirikian told Mediamax that the Company will present to the Commission its grounds; however, he does not doubt that they did a right thing, renouncing their complaint.
