Aircompany Armenia will begin realizing Yerevan-Tel Aviv-Yerevan flights on May 17. Banks.am learned details of the launch of the new route from General Department of Civil Aviation of Armenia and Aircompany Armenia.

Aircompany Armenia informed that a Tel Aviv-Yerevan ticket will cost EUR 99, EUR 49 out of which is the ticket price and EUR 50 is taxes. The price for Yerevan-Tel Aviv flight is the same, but taxes make EUR 71.

It’s noteworthy that low cost tickets are available 60 day prior to the flight and cannot be returned. The prices change 30 day prior and a week before the flight.

The initial price for round-trip ticket is EUR 220, including 20kg luggage and 7kg carry-on.

“We realize any regular flight according to a long-established pricing policy. Starting prices for all flights begin from the sum in AMD equal to EUR 49. Sometimes that amount doesn’t include taxes,” Aircompany Armenia stressed.

The company considers the new route to be perspective, noticing for comparison that currently Georgia realizes 7-10 Tbilisi-Tel Aviv flights per week.

“Yerevan-Tel Aviv is mostly a touristic route. What Armenia can offer to Israeli residents is exclusive: for instance, Israeli tourists are very interested in extreme tourism. A number of airlines already made corresponding offers to local tourism bodies in order to develop a joint program and present it as a complete package to Israel,” Aircompany Armenia stated.

The General Department of Civil Aviation also has high expectations for the new route.

“Direct air traffic with partner states facilitates increase of passenger flow and frequency of flights to Armenia, growing the country’s tourism sector, which in its turn has positive effect on Armenia’s GDP,” the department noted.

According to the statistics provided by Armenian State Committee for Tourism, 4807 people arrived to Armenia from Israel in 2014, while the index made 5726 in 2015 and 5124 in 2016.
