Yerevan, April 2 /Mediamax/. The continuing construction boom in Armenia did not lead to the cessation of the growth of prices for real estate and the decrease of the number of deals on registering rights for real estate, the General Director of the “VVP” Real Estate Agency Vruyr Penesian told in an interview to Mediamax. Referring the research of the indices of price changes, Vruyr Penesian noted that last year, as compared to 2005, the market prices for apartments in dwelling buildings of Yerevan grew for 29% on the basis of 1 square meter. According to the assessment of Penesian, the sizeable growth of the prices for real estate last year was to considerable degree reasoned by the drastic drop in the exchange rate of the dollar to the national currency. What concerns the deal on registering rights for real estate, last year their number, as compared to 2005, grew for 20%. If in 2000, 30.228 deals were registered; in 2006 the given index grew to 124.568. The Director of the “VVP” stated that this year, a construction of over 20 new building projects in various parts of Yerevan will be started. According to Vruyr Penesian, a diversification of the investment interest for the real estate market of Armenia is registered. In particular, he noted, one of the largest Russian businessmen started investing in the Armenian real estate market. Tweet Views 7742
