Yerevan, March 23 /Mediamax/. “Cascade-Bank”, “ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank” and “ACBA-Leasing” are pretenders to receive the 2007 FT Sustainable Banking Awards, established by the Financial Times newspaper and the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

Mediamax reports that 151 applications from 104 banks of 51 countries are presented for the participation in the contest.

FT Sustainable Banking Awards are granted to banks, which demonstrate leadership and innovational approaches during the implementation of social and environment protection goals in their activities.

The winners will be determined by 5 categories: Sustainable Bank of the Year, Emerging Markets Sustainable Bank of the Year, Sustainable Bankers of the Year, Sustainable Deal of the Year and Achievement in Carbon Finance.

In each category there will be a short-list of five finalists. The awards will be presented on June 7 in London.
