17 Armenia-based IT companies will introduce the latest Armenian technological solutions in London on March 9-10.The B2B event, to be held at DoubleTree by Hilton in London, is the biggest business initiative between the two countries. During the event Armenian companies will introduce their latest technological solutions to the business and technology community of Great Britain. You can review the event agenda here. The organizer of this initiative is BSC Business Support Center, and the British Embassy in Armenia provided the funding.British companies can book a face-to-face meeting with any participating Armenian company in advance. That format was designed to increase efficiency of the event and save time for British entrepreneurs.BSC Business Support Center Founder, Director Samvel Gevorgyan told Banks.am that this is the first time a large Armenian business delegation goes to the British market to offer concrete solutions.“IT sector is one of the fastest growing in Armenia and experiences at least a 20% growth annually. Armenian market manufactures products that Britain has never heard about. However, Britain will be interested in those solutions. We anticipate success stories in London. This is not a reference visit - the companies know where they are going and what they should expect. Our goal is to return with contracts or at least agreements reached on contracts. If the British market accepts Armenian companies despite its conservative nature, that will become a continuous process, undoubtedly,” Samvel Gevorgyan said. According to him, during the preparatory period the participating IT companies were given valuable recommendations regarding introduction to British entrepreneurs and interest towards corresponding IT services on the British market. BSC Director drew attention to the fact that the participating IT companies were selected by the organizers according to their technical competence in offering interesting solutions to British companies, experience on global market, and the ability to present and communicate in fluent English abroad.Digital marketing expert with years-long work experience in London Mike Laziev noted in his turn that the event can attract not only British IT companies, but also regular business people who are interested in technological solutions.“Armenia is sending companies from various IT areas: Virtual Reality, 3D animation, education, mobile apps development and outsourcing. We want to introduce Armenia not just as a homeland of developers, but also as the country that develops tech products,” the expert said, stressing that despite its conservatism, the British market loves innovations.Trade and Prosperity Officer with the British Embassy in Armenia Artashes Davtyan pointed out that this will be the largest joint business event in Britain.“In this regard, the British Embassy in Armenia is very inspired and excited. We would like to make that a continuous initiative, as IT in Armenia is a sector with great potential, able to have representation on the British market. British authorities financed this project to achieve promotion of UK-Armenia economic relations development through the entry of Armenian IT companies to British market,” said the British Embassy official.Partners of the Armenian-British B2B event are Union of Information Technology Enterprises, Small and Medium Entrepreneurship Development National Center (SME DNC), Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Armenia, Embassy of Armenia to the United Kingdom, Armenian British Business Chamber, Newable, Enterprise Europe Network, London Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and GMobile Ltd.Narine Daneghyan Tweet Views 14577
