According to the decision of the National Bank of Azerbaijan (NBA), starting from February 1, diagnostic checks are being carried out in some of commercial banks.

Mediamax reports referring Trend that the decision was made after the discussion of the analysis results as to the banks’ fulfillment of the normative requirements of the NBA, concerning the total capital, which, starting from January 2007, should have made not less than 8,2mln manats.

According to the results of the year, two banks didn’t fulfilled the normative requirements. Three more banks did not manage to gather the necessary volume of the capital during the accounting period, but formed a capital of 8,2mln manats after January 2007, so their data did not enter the report on assessing the capitalization of the banking sector of the country.
