Yerevan took the 182nd place in the quality of living rankings put together by Mercer.The American company’s rankings present total 230 cities from all continents.The first five places are occupied accordingly by Vienna, Zurich, Auckland (New Zealand), Munich and Vancouver. Baghdad is on the last place of the rankings.Among post-Soviet cities, Yerevan passed ahead of Tbilisi (188), Minsk (190), Baku (197), Tashkent (205), Bishkek (210), and Dushanbe (212).Moscow is the 167th in the rankings, Almaty - 175th and Kiev - 176th.Yerevan took the 166th place among 230 cities in the separate personal safety ranking.Mercer evaluates local living conditions in more than 450 cities surveyed worldwide. Living conditions are analyzed according to 39 factors, grouped in 10 categories:1. Political and social environment (political stability, crime, law enforcement, etc.).2. Economic environment (currency exchange regulations, banking services).3. Socio-cultural environment (media availability and censorship, limitations on personal freedom).4.
