Development Foundation of Armenia is holding “Armenia-Czech Republic” Business Forum today in cooperation with the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Armenia to establish and expand trade and economic ties.According to Development Foundation of Armenia, the forum will promote expansion of trade and economic relations between the two countries, and give Armenian businessmen an opportunity to present investment proposals to their Czech colleagues. Development Foundation of Armenia will also present the country's legal, business, and investment environment.The Czech businessmen will represent at the forum companies from the sectors of banking and investment, ground military vehicles, export credit insurance, stem cell research, business consulting, production of electricity, confectionery, equipment for small hydroelectric power plants, and rail and air freight transportation.“All the conditions are secured for the Czech entrepreneurs to familiarize themselves with our country's business environment and Armenia's economic opportunities that are being created in accordance with the new regional developments. There are currently around 20 companies in Armenia that are operated with the Czech capital. There is a great potential for the number of these companies to increase as a result of the forum and the B2B meetings between the Armenian and Czech businessmen,” noted the Development Foundation of Armenia Executive Director Arman Khachatryan.The forum is organized within the visit of the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic Jan Mládek to Armenia on February 11-12.Jan Mládek is accompanied by the Vice President of the Czech Chamber of Commerce, the Executive Director of the Chamber for relations with the CIS countries, and representatives of 27 Czech companies.
