The United States is optimistic about the agreement on elimination of double taxation in Armenia. U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary Bridget Brink said this in Yerevan meeting with journalists. The main objective of her visit was discussion of issues related to development of Armenia-U.S. commercial ties. “I’m very optimistic about it. I think that we can take many steps to support Armenia. We will try to use all the tools which will help deepen and strengthen our commercial ties with Armenia”, said the U.S. Department of State representative. The first session of Armenia-U.S. Trade and Investments Council took place in Yerevan on November 17. It should be recalled that Armenia and U.S. signed Trade and Investments Framework Agreement (TIFA) on May 7 stating their intention to create auspicious conditions for investments and trade turnover between the states and encourage trade. As of now, over 400 companies with American capital operate in Armenia. From this year on, Contour Global will start operating in Armenia which is the largest company with American investments in Armenia’s history. Tweet Views 15619
