The Armenian government has today decided that Deloitte Touche will provide the consultancy in the energy sector to the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) of Armenia. The PSRC yesterday informed that offers had been received from 2 companies - McKinsey & Company and Deloitte Consulting.“As a result of the consultancy, the public and government have answers to many urgent questions. Deloitte Touche is major company having an international reputation, and I think that their conclusion will give us grounds to move forward.I’d like to also recall that jointly with the Russian side, we are working over the audit due to be conducted at the Electric Networks of Armenia. At the same time, I’d like to touch upon current tariffs. Many people have a wrong impression that the government will support not only the people but major businesses in terms of covering the difference in tariffs (AMD6.93). That’s not true. I think it’s not the government’s job to subsidize big businesses. The President has stated that we will cover the difference in tariffs for individuals. When the President is back from vacation I will also discuss the issue of supporting the SME with him which consume about 250kWh energy on average monthly”, said the Prime Minister. Tweet Views 21162
