Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan held a discussion on the reforms and prospects of the aviation sector of Armenia at the Armenian government today. The government has informed that representatives of the Yerevan offices of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF) as well as the representatives of Initiatives for Development of Armenia (IDeA) Charitable Foundation and state bodies were present at the discussion. The meeting touched upon issues related to Armenia’s “open skies” policy. The elaboration of a clear action plan and schedule of the implementation of the “open skies” policy, execution of coordinated activities aimed at raising public awareness, and elaboration of tourism strategy were highlighted. The PM stressed the importance of further support of the donor community for the continuous implementation of reforms, involvement of international experts and training of human resources. Hovik Abrahamyan expressed his gratitude to the representatives of international structures for their readiness to render support and assured of his consistency to realize the agreements they had reached.
